For the safety of your pet, all animals entering the hospital must be on a leash or in a carrier.
For the protection of your pet and others in the hospital, all hospitalized animals and surgery patients must be current on their vaccinations. Dogs are required to be current on rabies and distemper vaccinations. Kennel cough vaccination, although not required for hospital/surgery patients, is highly recommended. Cats need to be current with rabies and distemper vaccinations. If vaccinations were not performed at WCVS, we will need to see proof of vaccinations prior to admission.
All surgical admissions are to be received by 4:00 PM the day before surgery unless prior arrangements have been made.
All pets will be checked for external parasites when they arrive. If external parasites (fleas, ticks, etc.) are present, the pet will be treated at the owner’s expense.
To save time when dropping off your pets for surgery, you may bring a signed and completed copy of the surgical/anesthetic release for with you. (Scroll down to see our release forms).
We require a deposit of 50% of the estimated fee when your animal is admitted to the hospital for non-elective procedures, and payment in full is due upon discharge of your animal from the hospital. For all elective surgeries (spays, castrations, dental cleanings, de-claws), payment in full is due upon discharge.
Payment is due at time of service. In order to keep operating costs as low as possible, West Central Veterinary Services is not able to extend credit.
For your convenience, we accept VISA, MasterCard, and Discover as well as cash and checks (driver’s license number is required for use of checks). We also accept CareCredit, a personal line of credit usable for payment of your pet’s medical bills. You may apply online at www.carecredit.com or we can assist you in the application process at the clinic.
