Veterinarians - Veedersburg

Michael Meade, DVM

Dr. Meade graduated from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1977.  Dr. Meade joined WCVS--Veedersburg in May of 1977.  Dr. Meade belongs to the American Association of Swine Veterinarians, the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, the Society of Theriogenology, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association.  Dr. Meade’s special interests include: beef cattle and swine herd health and production, canine artificial insemination and semen storage.  Dr. Meade is married with two daughters and has several dogs and cats.  Dr. Meade raises Shorthorn cattle.

Michael A. Hohenstein, DVM
Dr. Hohenstein graduated from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994.  He joined WCVS--Veedersburg in June of 1994.  Dr. Hohenstein is a member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners and the American Veterinary Medical Association.  Dr. Hohenstein’s special interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.  Dr. Hohenstein is married with two sons and one daughter.  In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, music and spending time with his wife, kids and church family.  He has one dog and one cat.

D. J. Weimer, DVM

Dr. Weimer graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 and joined WCVS--Veedersburg in September 2011.  Dr. Weimer belongs to the American Association of Swine Veterinarians, the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association.  Dr. Weimer’s special interests include: beef and swine production medicine and herd health.  He grew up on a farm near Knightstown, IN.  His hobbies include hunting, fishing and flying.  He is the owner of a yellow lab named Lilly.
